Defensive tackle Cassius Marsh (Westlake Village, Calif./Oaks Christian) has taken official visits to Cal and LSU the last two weeks, but sounds like he could be leaning towards the SEC at the moment.

Marsh committed back in the summer to the Golden Bears, but backed off his commitment soon after saying he wanted to explore his options. He'll continue to do so with two more trips in his future before making his decision.

"I was at LSU last weekend and it was amazing," Marsh said. "SEC football is crazy and the game atmosphere was unreal. Everyone was just going nuts the whole time and it wasn't even that exciting of a game.

"I can't think of a single negative about the visit, I loved every second I was there. The people, the players, the coaches, the campus, the food, it was all great. That's definitely a place I can see myself at for the next four years of my life and I'm seriously thinking that's the place for me right now but we'll see."

Marsh compared the visit with his visit to Cal the weekend before.

"I like Cal too, it's a great school and I'm very familiar with the place," Marsh said. "I've been there several times before and I have a great relationship with the coaches, especially Tosh (Lupoi) the defensive line coach.

"Berkeley is obviously way different than Baton Rouge but they're both cool. I think overall, LSU, the campus is a lot nicer and has better facilities as well."

Marsh has one visit set up for this weekend and canceled a visit he had set up for later in the month.

"I'm going to Arizona State this weekend," Marsh said. "I had Oklahoma set for later this month, but I canceled it. I'm looking at USC too, they're back in it and that's it, those are my four. Cal, LSU, ASU and USC are the only schools on my list.

"I haven't set a visit date with USC yet but plan to for later in the year. That will be my last visit and once I'm done with it, I'll be ready to make my decision. Right now, everyone is still in it and has a shot so we'll see what happens."
