Colorado State landed its signal caller of the future in quarterback
Tyler Shreve (Redlands, Calif./Redlands East Valley).
Shreve took his official visit to CSU this past weekend and saw all he needed to see before pulling the trigger this past weekend.
"Colorado State was real nice," Shreve said. "I liked it there and appreciate the fact that Colorado State has recruited me hard since the summer. A few other schools came and went, but CSU offered me and made me feel like I was a priority for them.
"They have a solid program and I got along well with the coaches and players. I also like the system and feel comfortable with it. Overall, recruiting didn't go like I thought it would. I thought there would be a few more schools coming after me, but I'm happy with my decision and happy to be a Ram."
Along with CSU, Fresno State was really the only other school actively recruiting Shreve, but had yet to offer. I had a chance to see the dual-threat quarterback in action earlier this year when REV upset a strong Orange Lutheran (Calif.) team and he was very impressive.
Shreve has excellent size, arm strength and polish and his ability to make plays with his legs adds another dimension to his game. He's also a natural leader and could see the field early for the Rams.
