Outside linebacker Cqualin Hubert (Houston, Texas/Dwight D. Eisenhower) committed to the Iowa State Cyclones on Sunday night. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound defender visited Iowa State on Sept. 11 when the Cylcones faced Iowa.

After considering offers from Houston, Tulsa, Miami (OH), New Mexico State, Utah State and interest from Arizona, Hubert pulled the trigger.

"I committed to Iowa State," said an excited Hubert. "I was watching game film and was just thinking about it. I told my grandmother that I've got to be a Cyclone and she agreed. I called coach [ Herman to tell him and he handed the phone to coach [Paul] Rhoads. Coach Rhoads was excited. He said thanks for making his weekend."
