Running back
D.J. Jones (Denison, Texas/Denison High) is one of the top prospects in Texas who has yet to make a commitment. The 6-foot-0, 210-pound back has considered offers from more than a handful of programs for months, but three have broken free from the pack.
"My top three are Texas A&M, Kansas and Kansas State," said Jones. "I was supposed to visit Kansas last week, but I got in a car wreck and had to stay home to take care of things. I don't have any visits set up. I'm probably going to set them up after the playoffs."
The Jayhawks look to have the best chance of landing the three-star prospect. Kansas already has a pair of Jones' Denison teammates committed in defensive end
Jaqwaylin Arps and tight end/linebacker
Jimmay Mundine.
