Adam will be answering reader questions in his blog for the rest of the week. Have a query of your own? Let him hear about it.
Q: Adam, I saw you picked the Chargers to win the Super Bowl. Don't you really think it's just a crapshoot once you are in the playoffs, or do you feel they will get home field advantage? I love the pick! Just wondered how you came up with it? -- Billy S. (Virginia Beach, Va.)
A: To be right on these picks always takes some luck, Billy. I always go back to what William Goldman said: "Nobody knows anything." But San Diego is the heaviest division favorite out there, which is a start. The Chargers are loaded with personnel. They have a championship-caliber quarterback. And so they have enough ingredients, and that's enough for me to pick. New England is the heavy favorite, and the Patriots wouldn't surprise me at all. But San Diego has as decent a chance as anybody.
Q: Adam: You haven't addressed any Dolphins rumors of late. Are you hearing any rumblings about them making any moves, or do you think they are happy to stay put? -- Mario (Raleigh, N.C.)
A: Once we get to the season, Mario, there's not much they can do. Their roster is pretty set. It's not like they're going to go out and trade for Brandon Marshall or Julius Peppers. Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland already went shopping for the groceries, and now it's time to cook dinner with what they bought at the market.
