Matt Cassel should be ready for Kansas City's regular-season opener. Cassel does have the strained medial collateral ligament, but the organization believes that when the lights go on, he will be there. And you know who else will be there?
Tyler Thigpen. Despite speculation that the Chiefs could deal Thigpen, they will not. Nor does it seem they ever were willing to do so. Thigpen will be on the Chiefs' opening day roster.
