The various summer high school tournaments in Las Vegas this month meant hundreds of teams from around the country and Canada -- including thousands of players and a plethora of college coaches -- filled hotel rooms, rentals cars, vans and restaurants.
It seemed like every high school and recreation center gym in the bustling city was filled. No college coach can survive without his trusty GPS, and it's possible to put in 750 miles on the rental odometer for the week.
I couldn't possibly be everywhere, especially with a son playing in the Reebok Summer Championships, but I did get around enough to see some players that caught my eye and the eyes of college coaches as well. Here are a few that really impressed me:
