Angels lay low on international scouting

The Los Angeles Angels' recent firing of international scouting supervisor Clay Daniels, who is under investigation by Major League Baseball as part of a probe into bonus skimming, has stalled the organization's actions in Latin America. Though the Angels aren't usually a big spender in the international signing period (which began on July 2), the upheaval has made them less active in signing even lower-priced prospects.
