Fewer undrafted free agents on rosters

Teams continue to be prudent about signing undrafted free agents. So far, 30 teams have revealed their lists of undrafted free agents, and the average per team has been around 12. That's not a lot.

Most teams used to sign 20 to 25 undrafted players on the Sunday after the draft. This year, the Carolina Panthers have been the only team to sign more than 20. They have 21.

Ravens auditioning wide receivers: The Ravens didn't address their wide receiver needs in the draft, so head coach John Harbaugh will try out four veterans in minicamp this weekend. D.J. Hackett, Kelley Washington, Jerry Porter and Tab Perry agreed to come to Baltimore's minicamp without contracts. Hackett and Washington did that this past weekend with the Redskins and were offered minimum-salary contracts. Each declined the Redskins' offers. Expect the Ravens to consider signing two of the four if they like them.
