Oak Ridge High School (Texas) right-hander Matt Graham saw his stock fall some this past spring and summer when his velocity dipped, but he showed a little more in a scheduled relief outing today against Everett Williams' school, McCallum.

Graham threw two innings and sat at 89-91 mph, touching 94, with a slurvy slider that had tilt but was long and a little slow to break. Graham is 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, has a good frame with some room to fill out, and has a very quick arm; he separates his hands high and his arm path is short. His landing is stiff and he has slight recoil as a result.

Williams grounded out in one at-bat against Graham, but laced a double to the opposite field on a ball down and over the outside corner earlier in the game; his weakness is the fastball up, which he'll chase all day long. He did show above-average speed when he reached base.
