Brownwood (Texas) High School right-hander Shelby Miller, No. 10 in my preseason rankings of draft-eligible players, made his first regular-season start of the year Thursday in front of a healthy crowd of scouts, including at least seven scouting directors. Miller showed excellent stuff with a good delivery but struggled with his command.
