Rockies sinking fast

For more than a month last fall, the glass slippers stayed on the Colorado Rockies. Young guys like Ubaldo Jimenez and Franklin Morales stepped in to the rotation and pitched well, the bats were knocking in runs and the team fielded the ball with more efficiency than anybody in history. The Rockies did the impossible and made the playoffs, then hammered the Phillies and the Diamondbacks to earn a trip to the World Series.
