Testing the waters can help players

I am not that smart. God gave me enough intelligence to allow me to figure out how to attack a 2-3 zone and how to devise a pick-and-roll play and not much else. Fortunately, that serves me well in my job at ESPN as a college basketball analyst.

So, I confess to getting a headache trying to figure out the NBA draft process and the rules changes every season. This year, players have until June 16 to determine whether to stay in the draft or pull out to preserve their college eligibility. That's pretty simple. Even I understand that.
