Soria drawing comparisons to Mo

Joakim Soria was summoned into the office of then-Royals manager Buddy Bell last summer, and Bell and pitching coach Bob McClure explained to Soria that he was going to be used as the closer. He had gone to spring training as a Rule 5 pick and now he was being asked to finish games.

"And he looked at us," McClure recalled the other day, "and it was like, 'Well, I think I can do that, if that's where you guys want me to be.' "

As in: Ho. Hum.
