Thomas spurns Southeast for Stanford

Under Amour All-American Chase Thomas (Marietta, Ga./Walton) capped off a record-breaking season that saw the two-way standout post 17 sacks by committing to Stanford on Friday. ESPN's No. 16-rated defensive end prospect narrowed down his 23 Division I scholarships to Auburn, Tennessee and North Carolina before choosing to become a Cardinal.

Thomas broke the news with ESPN late last night, and the versatile athlete shared the main factors that led to his decision.
