Tebow moves past folk hero status

And now the real craziness begins for Tim Tebow and Florida. I'm speaking about dealing with the mounting hype. Yes, expectations now are really going to run wild. Tebow was already a folk hero in Florida, but now he's a full-fledged commodity. Anyone who has heard him speak knows how grounded he is, but the real challenge could be for the UF athletic department.

In the Florida Today, David Jones has a story about a Web site doing business with a TEBOW4HE15MAN campaign:

"The plates may be an NCAA violation that could put the eligibility of University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, a Heisman Trophy candidate, in danger. UF officials are certainly concerned about the unlicensed and unauthorized selling of products promoting the sophomore quarterback -- which has become rampant on numerous Web sites."
