Eight important NLDS numbers

Eight sets of numbers relevant to the National League Division Series:

.241: That's the opponents' batting average in September against the Rockies' pitching staff, which really didn't come together, to the level needed by a contender, until the last weeks of the regular season. That .241 ranked second-best among all teams, by the way. This Colorado pitching staff is unlike any Rockies you've seen before.

He graduated from Vanderbilt University the same year as hoops legend Will Perdue, and ranks among the all-time leading scorers in pickup basketball at Memorial Gym. He claims to have witnessed the Commodores' winning football season in 1982 (although anthropologists have not yet confirmed this).

    Olney also contributes to ESPN.com, ESPN Radio, ESPNEWS, "SportsCenter" and "Baseball Tonight."
