Rice a good fit in Denver

Denver has signed Simeon Rice to a one-year contract and I like the move. At 33 years old Rice isn't the dynamic player he once was, but he is still a dangerous pass rusher who could excel in a specialty role for the Broncos and this might be an ideal situation for both parties.

Rice is very tall with an athletic build and long arms that he uses very well to keep defenders off his body. He has an extensive arsenal of pass rush moves and changes things up often to keep offensive tackles guessing, and anticipates the snap count extremely well and is still very agile. He also has a knack for causing fumbles. Rice has eight double-digit sacks season to his credit, and you do not become second among active players in career sacks without an exceptional feel for using the moves and physical skills you possess.
