Draft picks gaining in market value

The White Sox had your basic worst-pitching-day-since-1930 thing going on Friday, and Ozzie Guillen said it was hard to watch. Flipped to the first game in the ninth inning, when the score was 20-10, and it felt like there were 15 seconds of silence before Hawk Harrelson said anything. What was there to say?

Mark Buehrle boxed up stuff in his locker, as Dave Van Dyck writes, preparing for what might happen next. The White Sox feel like a team in a state of flux.

But even if Chicago doesn't sign Buehrle, they should probably keep him, and perhaps Jermaine Dye, throughout the rest of the season. Here's why:
