The Detroit Free Press buried it in today's paper, but reporter Chris Silva spotted Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick giving LeBron James a hug in Cleveland after Game 4, prompting the mayor's office to go into damage control mode Wednesday and insist that the mayor is actually rooting for the Pistons. More of what I'm hearing: • The Cavaliers said they were going to install a receptacle inside their monster scoreboard after several large chunks of pyrotechnic debris fell out of the scoreboard and onto the court early in Game 3. A Cavs official told me the debris was a result of the high humidity inside the arena, where the Cavs use four giant flamethrowers as props during player introductions.
