Pistons have déjà vu problem

While the LeBron questions du jour -- Should he have passed? Was he fouled? -- are dominating the discussion of the Pistons-Cavs series so far, I want to take a minute to focus on Detroit.

You see, the so-called Groundhog Day series -- after identical 79-76 games that ended with Anderson Varejao winging a shot from under his own basket because the Cavs were out of timeouts -- is producing another little piece of déjà vu that nobody is talking about.

Remember a year ago, when Detroit's offense went off the rails after Game 2 of the second round? The Pistons never recovered, nearly falling to the Cavs in that series before succumbing to the Heat in the conference finals.
