Bulls pulling a no-show

Ben Wallace was the only player on the Chicago Bulls who was willing to face the music Friday, but there was one question he would not answer. After acknowledging that his ex-teammates on the Detroit Pistons are busting his chops -- "That's the nature of this business" -- Wallace borrowed a move from Stephon Marbury's repertoire and threw me a curt "Next question" when I asked him exactly what the Pistons were saying to him. "They looked like the fresher team down the stretch," Wallace said of the Pistons, who took a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal by coming back from a 19-point second-half deficit Thursday night in Game 3. The series could be over as soon as Sunday, sending the Bulls into a summer of self-doubt after measuring themselves against a team they strive to be and coming up woefully short.
