A few items that do just fine without much help from me ...

• Before we forget about Josh Hancock -- and we forget quickly, don't we? -- it's worth reading shysterball on what Hancock's passing means for the Cardinals, and John Sickels on Hancock's professional development.

• Baseball Prospectus' Nate Silver presented his PECOTA Top 100 prospects last week, and I believe it's the only prospects list that relies purely on an objective method. You can argue with the methodology if you like, but I'd be willing to bet that if we come back in five years and compare Silver's list to the others, we'll find that he did just as well as anybody else (and yes, Alex Gordon and Kevin Kouzmanoff will hit, eventually).
