Looks like Kobe deserved it

NEW YORK -- "Astonished is more or less the word I'd use," Lakers coach Phil Jackson was saying in the hallway adjacent to the visiting locker room Tuesday night as he prepared to face the Knicks without Kobe Bryant, who was stashed away some 26 blocks to the north as punishment for his arm-flail into the face of Manu Ginobili.

I am not astonished that Jackson would choose the word "astonished," but I'm a little astonished myself that Kobe, the Lakers and the players' union made such a federal case out of today's suspension -- especially now that I've had so many looks at the videotape of the incident.
