Sylvester Croom was the runner up the last time Alabama hired a coach. Also, with someone like Norm Chow still floating around I'd take a shot at him. Wondering what you think and who'd you hire if you were the Alabama AD?
Feldman: I think if Croom had gotten Mississippi State to a bowl game this season, 'Bama probably would've considered him, but right now hiring a coach that hasn't won 10 games in three seasons would be a tough sell to the Tide fan base, even though MSU really was a mess when he took over. As for Chow, I'm not sure how badly he really wants to be a head coach. Most career assistants really have to be politic to get their first head coaching job and that doesn't sound like something he really is comfortable doing.
