You better show some love to the B's after going on the road to Toronto in consecutive games and convincingly beating them. These were complete victories for the B's with the highlight being Paul Mara's beating of Darcy Tucker in the first game.
-- Jay (Boston)Look, I know you guys really don't have many Bruins fans on the staff (those of you who are, stay strong), but really, I want you guys to start being aware of the fact that the Bruins squad this season is hell bent on turning things around. We are playing much harder than in previous seasons, getting better production from all areas of our offense, getting big division wins over toronto and ottawa, and get no love whatsoever. Also, you have constantly harped on us constantly being near the cellar for the majority of the first quarter of the season. We are 7-3-0 in our last 10 games, on pace with division foes Montreal and Buffalo. Sure, we have our ugly losses here and there, but every team does. you all may be dead set on being Bruins haters, but at least have the awareness to realize that we are improving every aspect of our games, finding ways to win, and getting back on track. Don't treat us like we're nothing. Thanks.
-- Matt (Boston)
Matt, is this a memo from Dave Lewis?
Overall, we don't think it's fair to compare the Bruins to the Senators from earlier this season. We're not denying that Boston earned two wins against Ottawa, but they weren't blowouts and the Sens weren't exactly on the roll they're on right now. It makes that Dec. 19 meeting all the more interesting.
Two weeks with the Sabres at the top. You finally gave in to the threats on your dog's life from angry Sabres fans. Finally you took the Blue and Gold pill, it's true path to happiness.
-- Dennis from Buffalo
We don't have a dog. Don't take drugs.
Please observe that San Jose has a higher winning percentage than Anaheim. That, teamed with their five-game winning streak and now-healthy lineup, clearly makes them the best in the West. Also, for what it's worth, a great white shark is twice as intimidating as a mallard.

Haven't you seen those Aflac commercials?! And besides, we'd like to see the Sharks score a goal on the Ducks this season, or a big Anaheim skid, before we make that leap.
Hi. I would say that you have too many Eastern conference teams up top. There are only six Western teams in top 15. Even though I am a Ranger fan there needs to be more love for the West.
-- Alex (New York)
Using the top 15 teams argument, here are some stats. Eleven of the top 15 teams in scoring are from the Eastern Conference. Ten of the 15 in lowest goals-against are from the West. Through Tuesday's games, the West has won 29 games against East opponents dating back to the start of the season; the East has won 26 matchups. Depending on which style of play you choose, depending on how you factor those matchups, which conference is better?
Either way, we're an equal-opportunity Power Rankings provider.
why are the new york rangers not bringing brian leetch?

Now, would that really solve the Rangers' woes?
