I'm at Bradley International Airport in Hartford, realizing I'm about to get a bad seat on this Southwest Flight to Chicago because I'm in Zone C and there are hundreds of people on line already. Oh well. This trip and drive to La Porte, Ind., (the closest hotel I could get to South Bend is about 40 miles outside of Notre Dame) can't possibly be as bad as my trip to Knoxville last week. That story's for another day, but let's just say I left Hartford at 11 a.m. ET on Friday and arrived shortly before 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday.
Hopefully this week goes much smoother for Penn State quarterback Anthony Morelli, facing a stiff challenge at Notre Dame (I think the Irish emerge victorious) and Texas quarterback Colt McCoy (I think the Longhorns emerge as victors again.)
Elsewhere, if you're interested, Clemson over Boston College, Georgia over South Carolina, Oregon over Fresno State, LSU over Arizona, Oklahoma over Washington and Nevada (this is an upset already, right?) to beat Arizona State in Tempe.
