FSU-Miami: Blame the coaches

Last night was the first time in seven years I didn't go to the Miami-FSU game.

Turns out the view from the couch isn't much prettier. For the past few years I've heard my buddies in the media talk about how awful this game is to watch, and I have to concede they're right.

These UM-FSU contests are kinda like soccer (and you know how much football fans love soccer). I mean if you're a supporter of either team, the games are really riveting and draining, but to everyone else they are awful and probably look like they are setting the game back 50 years. Moving the contest away from the season opener certainly can't hurt since every team, not just Miami and FSU, are always sloppiest the first time out, but I believe that's more excuse than explanation.
