Excruciating late-spring injuries

Talent evaluators who saw the Mets this spring have some questions about the depth of the team's rotation, and on Friday, Victor Zambrano went down with an injury. Pedro Martinez had a rough final tune-up. The good news is that there are serious questions about every National League team.

• Gotten a lot of e-mails this week, in the aftermath of criticisms here of Major League Baseball and Bud Selig, asking about the reporters' role in The Steroid Era and whether we were complicit. Wrote again, within an Op-Ed piece for the New York Times today, about how I think I blew the story.
