Eye of the storm
That's how far Villanova guard Allan Ray has come in five days. On Friday night, Wildcats coach Jay Wright wasn't concerned about whether Ray would be able to play in the NCAA Tournament. He simply was concerned about Ray's eyesight. That's how grim things initially looked after Carl Krauser's finger ended up in Ray's eye.
On Friday afternoon, Ray -- who didn't even suffer a scratched cornea in the accident -- will play in Villanova's first-round game against Monmouth. And he'll do it without having to wear goggles.
