Gonzaga wrapped up its sixth consecutive outright West Coast Conference regular-season crown Monday night against a clearly overmatched Pepperdine Waves squad, raising its league record to 11-0 (23-3 overall). We at The Mid Life would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to coach Mark Few, Adam Morrison and all the Zags on this remarkable accomplishment.
As ESPN.com's resident mid-major guy, I spend hours of my life dealing with The Gonzaga Question. Is it a mid-major school anymore? Have the Zags single-handedly elevated the WCC to something resembling power-conference status? And if the NBA thing doesn't work out, will Morrison have a career in Las Vegas impersonating that guy from the White Stripes?
