Twenty-four years ago Sunday, Becky Nyman felt an odd sensation in her stomach. She thought to dismiss it -- just a cramp -- but she went to the hospital, anyway. The doctors had surprising news: She was in labor, nine centimeters dilated. A baby boy, Steven, showed up 15 minutes later.
"He was fast from the beginning," Becky said Sunday.
