Crazy odds

Legend has it that proposition bets truly took off following Super Bowl XX in 1986. In that game, Caesars Palace allowed bettors to gamble on the probability of Chicago Bears defensive tackle William "The Refrigerator" Perry scoring a touchdown. Perry had rushed for two touchdowns during the regular season. Sure enough, late in the third quarter, Perry came in and took the handoff from the 1-yard line and rumbled in for the score.
