It's always fascinating to look back on past recruiting classes and see how things shook out. This week I'm doing a five-part breakdown on the class of 2002, since many of those prospects are seniors this fall. Each day I will have the countdown from a consensus top 15 as rated by the recruiting analysts back in February 2002. Thanks to some LexisNexis research, I did my best to locate many of the whatever-happened-to-that-guy types.
At the bottom of each program's profile, there will be an overall grade. The grades are more reflective of the actual production of each member of the class, not the pre-college expectations placed upon each player. (My reasoning: Grading off the expectations and reputations really is more about grading the evaluators than the class itself.)
