After a rough start, I decided to start picking games without checking spreads. Instead, I'm just picking scores and looking at the spreads on Saturday. The first week I did that, I went 12-3. In the three weeks since implementing my new "system," I'm 29-16. Of course, I probably just jinxed myself. Anyhow, here are this weekend's picks:
Va. Tech 30, Maryland 20: The Terps will keep things interesting for a while by exploiting TE Vernon Davis.
Texas 42, Texas Tech 38: Just a hunch, but I suspect the Red Raiders' receivers will gain a lot of respect nationally after this one. Ultimately, I think the UT O-line is the difference here.
