The Packers might take some time in replacing wide receiver Javon Walker, who is out for the season with a torn ACL. No signing was planned for Tuesday and the team will proceed slowly looking for a veteran presence. Jerome Pathon and Troy Edwards are among the best on the market. Curtis Conway, who recently worked out for the Patriots, is available. The Packers like second-round pick Terrence Murphy, but he was inactive against the Lions. Bringing in a veteran would slow his chances to get some experience.
Green's leg is just fine: Chiefs quarterback
Trent Green still can't believe the hype about his circulation problem in the leg. All he knows is that the strange injury has been fixed. The week before the start of the regular season, Green felt a numbness in his foot. He went to the doctor and was told there was no pulse or blood circulation in the foot. Green has had four surgeries to repair his reconstructed knee through the years and an artery was blocked. The doctor performed a minor procedure and Green could feel the blood rushing to his foot. He was fine. The prognosis is good. The artery problem has been repaired.
