Freshmen: Who will, won't redshirt
WR Lee, LB Dawson lead young charges; will WR Farmer sit out this season?

With the season opener behind the Trojans, the picture is becoming a little clearer in terms of which first-year players will play this season and which ones will redshirt. Here's a look at each of the freshmen on the 2012 roster and his chances to play:
QB Cody Kessler -- Kessler is listed as the backup to Matt Barkley, so chances are good he will play at some point in the season.
QB Max Wittek -- Unless something drastic happens, expect Wittek to redshirt. In addition to Kessler, the team also could turn to Jesse Scroggins when he comes back from injury, so Wittek should be able to save his year.
