USC needs 'A' game
Trojans were far from their best against Utah, need to be going forward

Matt Barkley is back, but the Trojans' "A" game isn't.
As reassuring as it was to see USC's quarterback perform like a Heisman Trophy candidate again and to have Lane Kiffin remember his guys actually are capable of throwing and catching long passes, the lingering feeling after the 38-28 victory at Utah was that we still haven't seen this team play anywhere near its capabilities.
Did it show character coming back from that near-disastrous 0-14 start? Check. Did its underrated defense dispense yet another solid game? Check.
