LOS ANGELES -- It's official, the USC Trojans are the national champions of spring practice, and the celebration has begun. Lane Kiffin's Men of Troy went undefeated, moved up the national spring rankings, and concluded spring ball last weekend in front of 15,000 wildly enthusiastic cardinal and gold fans in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The masses left the historic venue feeling all warm and fuzzy, and for good reason. The Cardinal and Gold seems positioned to do big things in 2012, and a Rose Bowl berth and perhaps a BCS national title invitation are clearly in Tommy Trojan's VZ navigator.
Adding some extra frosting to the Trojans spring celebration cake, ESPN and USC announced earlier this week a multi-year national radio deal that will broadcast all Trojans' home games, joining archrival Notre Dame with only the second such national radio contract in college football.
