New LB coach Scottie Hazelton getting familiar with his talented group

LOS ANGELES -- When one meets Trojans first-year linebacker coach Scottie Hazelton, the twinkle in his eyes, the smile on his face, and the enthusiasm he displays suggests that he is excited, but not overwhelmed, to be a USC football coach.
The former North Dakota State defensive coordinator speaks in reverential enthusiasm about the storied tradition of the Men of Troy, yet he's not intimidated. He is comfortable in his own skin, knowing he is surrounded by some of the best college football players in America.
So how did the former North Dakota State defensive coordinator land the linebackers coaching position at one of college football's all-time powerhouses?
