LOS ANGELES -- Can you honestly imagine having Matt Barkley as your quarterback in both high school and college?

USC redshirt freshman wide receiver Victor Blackwell doesn't have to imagine. He's living it, and you can tell by his words and smile, that he knows he is one mighty lucky pass catcher.

Garry Paskwietz/WeAreSC.comVictor Blackwell is hoping to excel this spring and put himself in position to catch passes from former high school teammate Matt Barkley this fall.
"It's a blessing, man, a blessing," said Blackwell, who had a nice catch and run from a Barkley pass during Saturday's practice in the Coliseum. "I caught passes from him in high school when he was the Gatorade Player of the Year and now he's up for the Heisman."
