Tom Kelly's smooth voice made every great USC football moment that much better

LOS ANGELES -- Over the many seasons of USC football, there have been a number of football radio voices that have graced the airwaves. Names like Chick Hearn, Mike Walden, Larry Kahn and, currently, Pete Arbogast, come to mind.
Each of these play-by-play voices has brought their own style, enthusiasm and regional flavor to Trojans listeners. Nobody ever accused Arbogast of not being a dutiful cardinal and gold enthusiast during his broadcasts.
However, there is but one Trojans radio football voice that has stood above them all. Anyone who has never listened to Trojans Athletic Hall of Famer Tom Kelly call a football game on radio or had the rare privilege of spending time with this golden-throated legend has really missed an original.
