Injuries to key players, muddled QB picture plague USC this spring

The biggest question of the spring has been unofficially tabled until the fall, and in so many ways that seems to symbolize the current state of USC football.
It is all one big cloud of uncertainty hovering over Lane Kiffin and the Trojans.
The frontrunner to replace Matt Barkley at quarterback ended the first two weeks of practice limping on a bad knee, and when the head coach was asked if the thought he could name a new starter at the position before fall, Kiffin gave a surprisingly honest answer.
