Prized USC recruits start their college careers with big dreams, expectations

With a trunk full of dorm-room essentials in tow and the start of a new journey in sight, one word kept running through the mind of Justin Davis during the six-hour drive down Interstate 5 last week: opportunity.
The feeling of excitement is one Davis, a four-star running back from Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln, shares with fellow USC early enrollees Kenny Bigelow, Max Browne, Su'a Cravens, Chris Hawkins and Leon McQuay III. Their arrival on campus is an unquestionable bright spot for a recruiting class that has taken a few well-publicized hits in the past two months.
