LOS ANGELES -- Lane Kiffin is about to embark on his first bowl game as a head coach, and like USC Trojans head coaches before him, the outcome can be his introduction to legendary status, future unemployment, or simply a footnote in Trojans football history.

On Monday afternoon in the Hyundai Sun Bowl, Kiffin will be given his first opportunity to make his mark in postseason play. He'll take his 7-5 Trojans and challenge the ACC's Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-7) in El Paso, Texas.
