LOS ANGELES -- It seems in vogue to take potshots at the Trojans for playing their way into the Hyundai Sun Bowl, the result of a season of underachievement and disappointment.
Yet by all accounts, the good folks at the Sun Bowl will provide a quality experience for both USC and Georgia Tech, and it's not like the Sun Bowl has lacked marquee names coming into the border town of El Paso, Texas. Perhaps you recognize names such as Notre Dame, Miami, Wisconsin and Oklahoma?
If you're a USC fan, maybe it's time to cool the Sun Bowl sarcasm and ask yourself if Lane Kiffin's team, consisting of innocent players paying the price for the sins of Reggie Bush, deserves the bowl negativity after being banned from postseason participation the past two years.
