USC likes to call the Rose Bowl its home away from home. And its one remaining piece of "unfinished business," since the national championship game is no longer an option, is to play in Pasadena on New Year's Day.
The jury is out whether Lane Kiffin's team can get to Pasadena on the first day of 2013, but the Trojans will get their chance to play in the Rose Bowl this Saturday at noon in their annual bloodbath with the archrival UCLA Bruins.
In this improbable Trojans season, the abnormal has become normal, the unbelievable has become believable.
UCLA might have surpassed USC in the standings, but the Bruins will need to beat the Trojans in a big game this weekend.
