Quick hitters: Shootout No. 3?
Trojans face another high-scoring spread team in Arizona State

LOS ANGELES -- They're only college football opinions, but at least they're all mine:
• The popular new game in town is to try to figure out how good a quarterback Matt Barkley will be in the NFL. Three quarters of the way through his senior season, I have to admit I'm still not sure.
• Most USC partisans already are looking ahead to the UCLA game, and that's probably a mistake. The Arizona State game on Saturday looks like another bigtime shootout to me. And we all know how Lane Kiffin's guys have done in the last two shootouts.
