Trojans soak in victory
With the win against Washington, USC is primed for good results

SEATTLE -- On a typical gloomy Saturday afternoon here in the Emerald City, the Trojans managed to throw up their defensive umbrella, drying out the hometown Washington Huskies 24-14 before 67,202 mostly purple-clad fans at CenturyLink Field.
Lane Kiffin's Trojans knew coming in that Washington had previously beaten Stanford, which lost in overtime Saturday to Notre Dame, and if the Huskies could master the Cardinal, they certainly wouldn't be in awe of the No. 11 Trojans.
No, Washington wasn't going to be intimidated by the Trojans, despite being nearly a two-touchdown underdog. This season, UW had already encountered three top-10 teams, and the Dawgs had won 10 of its past 11 home games.
