LOS ANGELES -- It was the shortest practice of fall camp as the Trojans prepare for a Friday afternoon scrimmage at the Coliseum. USC head coach Lane Kiffin also said the team held a walk-through earlier Thursday morning so he didn't want to do too much in the afternoon session.
Kiffin said it's always exciting to be in the Coliseum for the first time each year, especially to see how the younger players react. As of the end of practice there was still no decision on if the team would tackle in the scrimmage.
Running back development: Two weeks ago Kiffin told Pac-12 media members that inexperienced depth at running back was his biggest concern, most people took that as a recruiting pitch to Silas Redd but there was truth to the statement when he said it. Kiffin said Thursday, however, that the running back group has completely changed with the start of camp.
